Steelpoort is a relatively small town and as such has fewer of the security problems associated with larger cities. That said, the town has two SAPS stations, the latter being a modern, highly visible and fully operational police station that has a new CSI department offering added security not only for Steelpoort town but also the greater region. In addition, Steelpoort also provides its own private security with an independent guarding solution that manages and surveys the whole town with a CCTV network. This, coupled together with the regular police service provides peace of mind for the community, traders and shoppers, giving residents the kind of environment to safely raise their families.
